How my journey began
Stacey Felzer is the passionate founder of Fostering a Chord, driven by her own personal journey as a foster and adoptive parent. After volunteering with local foster care organizations, Stacey became a certified foster parent, welcoming two boys into her home, and later, adopting them. Her experiences navigating the foster care system have shaped her deep commitment to helping others do the same. With an MBA in business and marketing, and a strong faith that guides her work, Stacey combines her professional background with her personal passion to create a thriving support community for foster and adoptive families.
Why Fostering a Chord?
Fostering a Chord is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering foster and adoptive families through education, resources, and community-building. Founded by Stacey Felzer, the organization serves families in Marietta, Georgia, and surrounding areas, offering free programs, including educational resources, a resource library, and opportunities for connection.
We believe that every child deserves a loving, stable home, and that foster and adoptive parents deserve the support and education necessary to provide that.
Our goal is to expand our reach across Georgia and beyond, to make fostering and adoption more accessible, rewarding, and successful for all involved.
